March of Dimes Fundraiser Success!!

The Washington was so honored to host the March of Dimes event on March 29th, 2014 for 400 plus guests to raise money for Kicking off Babies- Babies With A Healthy Birth. David Wagman, the organizer of the event, recently celebrated his daughters Sweet 16 at The Washington. After seeing the service, working with our event coordinator Carissa Kania, and tasting the food, he knew that The Washington would be the perfect venue for The March of Dimes event. 

Hosting events is all about preparing for the unexpected in the most calm, organized and professional manner. That's exactly what The Washington did! 20 minutes prior to the event starting, a random driver on Fries Mill hit an electric poll that cut off the electricity to majority of the street, including The Washington. But that doesn't stop us, when there is an event, the event must take off without a hitch!! With quick thinking, a calm approach and excellent teamwork, we had backup generators running, and quickly had contacted Washington Township to help us out. Washington Township was AMAZING! They were understanding, worked fast and had us with electricity in no time! Bravo to an amazing Township and amazing staff at The Washington. 

The event went on without a hitch. The Washington catered an elegant full sit-down event.  We are so gracious for to all the vendors, who opened their hearts to selflessly donate their time and services.

Congratulations to Robin Mood who won a free wedding package from The Washington including DJ, free wedding cake, free photography, free jacuzzi suite at the Hampton Inn, fresh center pieces from our house vendors. We can't wait to host your wedding at The Washington

The Wagman's goal this year was $15,000 and happily we can announce they surprised that goal!


The group of fundraisers thanked The Washington with a standing ovation and will be coming back next March to do it again! We look forward to hosting such generous events in the future!
