Sweet 16's Are Special For Girls. But Emotional For Fathers...

Sweet 16's are a wonderful time to honor a young girls blossoming into a young lady. While its fun and exciting for girls, it can be quite emotional for parents, especially fathers. Watching their little girls grow up is not always an easy thing. This was the case for David Wegman. A kind, dotting and loving father who wanted to give his daughter Kaitlyn the Sweet 16 of her dreams! Most dads have no idea about where to began! David was nervous and worried when he met with Carissa, our banquet manager. He went above and beyond and was involved in the entire process. He arrived 2 hours early to oversee to make sure everything was set up perfectly! David was so pleased with how everything turned out when he saw the DJ in action, The Washington staff taking great care of his family and friends and his daughter having the time of her life! He was so pleased he already booked a second event at The Washington! He is hosting the annual March of Dimes Fundraiser event in honor of their daughter Isabella. 

We had such a pleasure meeting and working with a wonderful family unit and are thrilled to be hosting more events with him in the future.

Six years ago, when my daughter Kaitlyn turned 10, we told her that, that was her last "BIG" Birthday Party. She looked up at me and said "Daddy, what about my Sweet 16 ?"  I told her then, "Yes sure you can have a sweet 16" Not fully understanding what an enormous undertaking this type of party would involve and cost. Six years went by and a few month's back Kaitlyn aligned forces with my wife and reminded me that I owed her this party as I had promised. So we started to search venues and find dresses, cakes favors etc...etc... Everything seemed so overwhelming, until we walked into the Washington. Carissa, you stepped in and guided me through the entire experience. Your experience, attention to detail and your standards are well aligned with what I expected for my daughter. The entire staff was wonderful and delivered an evening that I am sure my baby will remember forever. The package you presented me with all the suggested vendors, the menu choices, the cleanliness of the establishment, the service, the relationships and interaction with my vendors was all above my expectation. We never heard a NO or We can't do that.  Every challenge and obstacle was overcome. I certainly will do business with The Washington again! What you have done with the facility with all of the updating and continued improvements has paid off. Great job to you and your team.
